Privacy Policy

What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and name (first name and last name), provided during sign-up.
• Survey responses: Answers you provide to surveys created by your organization. These are used to generate personalized game questions.
• Game participation data: Which games you joined, your answers during games, and your scores.
• Organization membership: Which organizations you belong to and your role within each (admin, leader, or player).

How Your Data Is Used

• Survey responses feed AI game question generation. Your answers help our AI create fun, personalized “How well do you know your teammates?” questions. The AI never stores your data independently - it only processes it at the moment questions are generated.
• Admins and leaders within your organization can view your survey responses to help plan games and team activities. Every time an admin or leader views your responses, it is recorded in the organization's audit log for transparency.
• Your game answers (which choice you picked) are private. Only you can see whether you got each question right or wrong. Other players see scores, not individual answers.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or financial data (beyond what Stripe processes for billing). We do not use tracking cookies or share your data with advertisers.

Data Retention

• Survey responses are kept as long as your organization has an active account.
• Game responses, game participants, and game session details are deleted 24 hours after the game completes.
• Game questions and generation historyare kept indefinitely. This data is used to ensure variety and fairness across games (so you don't see the same questions repeated).
• If your organization deletes its account, there is a 1-year grace period before hard deletion of all organization data.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Teammate Trivia Games:

• Supabase - Database hosting, authentication, and real-time features.
• Anthropic- AI-powered game question generation. Survey data is sent to Anthropic's API at the moment questions are generated; it is not stored by Anthropic.
• Stripe - Payment processing for subscriptions. We do not store credit card numbers; Stripe handles all payment data securely.

How your team's data interacts with our AI provider

Our games are generated by an AI model provided by Anthropic (Claude). To create the questions your team plays, we send:

• Survey answers your team members submit
• Player names

to Anthropic's Claude API. Here is exactly what happens to that data:

1. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, customer inputs and outputs are not used for training. Training on customer data is opt-in only, and we have not opted in.

2. Anthropic retains inputs and outputs for a limited period. Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs for approximately 30 days for trust-and-safety monitoring, then deletes them. Each API request is stateless - the model retains no memory of your data between requests.

3. Generated game questions are stored in our database. These questions can include player names (see below), and are retained per our own retention policy. Players control what they share through skip and opt-out choices in the survey.

A note on names in questions.Game questions intentionally reference player names to make gameplay personal (that is the product). We do not claim to “anonymize” this data. Instead, we rely on three protections: (a) every question passes a workplace-appropriateness filter before anyone sees it; (b) players can skip any survey question or opt out entirely with a single click; (c) admins control which players are included in any given game.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: to keep you signed in, to remember which organization you are working in, and to credit a referral link you arrived through. We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Google reCAPTCHA on our sign-in, sign-up and contact pages may set its own cookies. A small localStorage value records your cookie-notice acknowledgement. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Your Rights

• Download your data:You can export your personal data at any time from your Profile page using the “Download My Data” button.
• Delete your account: You can delete your account from your Profile page. This removes your profile and disassociates your data from your identity.
